Meet Steven

Steve Scheiern has been in the reverse mortgage industry since 2004 and currently serves as Director of Production and Business Development. He oversees recruiting, training, and all Retail Direct Sales activity including sourcing, direct to consumer marketing, and reverse mortgage origination.

Steve has built a long and successful career over the decades, establishing himself as a leader in the field. Prior to joining Cornerstone, he received numerous awards and recognitions as a top national sales leader for some of the largest leading banks, businesses, and financial groups in the nation, consistently performing within the top 10% of every sales organization with whom he has been affiliated. He was the Regional Manager of California, was promoted to National Retail Direct Sales Manager, consistently enjoyed President Club status year after year, and ran one of five top-producing branches for six years in a row. He has also received the Pouzes Cousner Leadership Award, and broke a 73-year sales record his very first two years in the business. Atop his professional accolades, he has personally conducted and facilitated over 600 public Direct to Consumer (DTC) Seminars.

For 13 years prior to Steve’s entrance into the reverse mortgage world, he worked with senior homeowners and their families in the financial and senior insurance industry. He is a C.S.A., Certified Senior Advisor, and a lifetime member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Out of all of his credentials, certifications, and licenses, Steve is most proud of being a C.S.A.

Steve lives in Tehachapi, California, with his wife Lynne and their two Jack Russel Terriers, Ricky and Lucy. He also has three grown children. His son Aaron is a Firefighter with the LAFD, his daughter Shannon is a CIA Graduate Pastry Chef, and his daughter Mary is a recent college graduate.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys long-range, deep sea sport fishing in Mexico, shooting, motor sports, and traveling with his wife Lynne.
