Who we are and why we do what we do

Scott Dewar, Loan Officer for Cornerstone Home Lending, has lived in the Puget Sound area of Washington his entire life. Born in Edmonds, he currently lives in the Seattle suburb of Greenwood. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Economics.

As a top producer and sales manager at a previous mortgage company before joining Cornerstone, Scott brings a unique blend of professional experience in construction financing and home financing. On joining Cornerstone, Scott says, "I am very excited to be with a company that honors their commitments and can close loans on time."

With an energetic and focused personality, Scott takes great pride in providing all his clients unparalleled customer service. One way he prioritizes his customers is by returning all forms of communication very promptly. "I decided to enter the mortgage industry because I truly enjoy helping people obtain financing for purchasing a home," he says.

In his spare time, Scott enjoys running, golfing and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
